Download html5 movies from youtube

Youtube has started using the <video> tag on their website in conjunction with webm files, which is nice. Unfortunately, they've decided to try and make it hard for you to download the videos to your PC. Fortunately, that is easily fixed with this stylesheet.

Normally videos embedded in html5's <video> tag can be easily downloaded with Opera by right-clicking on the video and selecting "save video" (like here), the .webm, or .ogg, file can then be saved to anywhere on your PC. Youtube tries to prevent people from doing this on their site by placing a blocking element over their videos. This simple .css file removes that element, restoring the normal right-click menu to the user, and letting you download the movie files.

HTML5 video full-screen

Adds fullscreen capability to every <video>

It works even better than the Flash version because it only maximizes itself in the browser window. Thus you can change it to ANY size. Or by hitting your browser-specific fullscreen key (F11 for Opera) you get real fullscreen.

How does it work?

Start any video and then hit SHIFT-ENTER to maximize to browser window, or hit F11 to fullscreen.

Youtube HTML5 Native Controls

Shows Opera's native HTML5 video controls in Youtube's HTML5 beta.

Tested in the latest Opera WebM Labs build (Windows build 10.54.21868). Might also work in Firefox or Chrome - not tested though.

Force YouTube HD

A simple means of forcing YouTube to default to HD video

While there are more elegant means of accomplishing the goal this script aims for, including YouTube HD Ultimate hosted here, I wanted something simple which was not likely to require any maintenance.  This one-line script does the trick for showing 720p video by default.

YouTube downloader.

Script made by Luis Guillermo Nuñez - Tries to build links to FLV files.
Compatible with Opera 10.5, Chrome 5.0.dev and the new YouTube.

Now generates links passed on flashvariables using fmt_values.

Adds an option to download YouTube videos as MP4 files. Unlike most other scripts, this one downloads the videos directly from YouTube and doesn't connect to any other site.

Plugsome Toolbar

This script is an utility that add a small toolbar to flash in webpages.

This script is an utility that add a small toolbar to plugins in webpages.
The toolbar by default has 3 buttons:
- the 1st button is a Reload button which reload the plugin content
- the 2nd button is a link to the external file that the plugin loaded.
Somefiles might get special treatment, like in youtube. Instead of linking
to youtube's media player swf, the script links to the video file.
- the 3rd button is a X which if clicked closes the toolbar, and if
double-clicked removes the toolbar and plugin from the page.

Youtube without Flash Auto

Extends video player on YouTube.com

This script doesn't work on new layout of Youtube, so if you should probably search for other userscript for youtube or wait for new version. Sorry.

Changes flash player on youtube page with customizable flash player, native player via plugin (ie. mplayer) or direct HTML5 video tag.

Adds also fastest and easy way to download movies directly and change quality of movies.
