Shorten url with goo.gl, the new Google URL shortener.

goo.gl url shortener is an extension which allows you to shorten the current website URL with the new Google URL Shortener service http://goo.gl/

Installation Instructions: 

Just click the link and drag button to UI anywhere in Opera

I think I found the reason

I think I found the reason why it would not work, it is due to a Opera Unite script called Blockit service for opera. Turning this off enabled me to use the button again.

Not working with Opera 12.14 so how to uninstall it?

Right-click on the button,
